The Company responded to multiple emergency calls during the storm on Thursday and into Friday morning.  Most calls involved arcing electrical wires that caused some power outages in town.

At 04:54 Friday morning, a call was received for arcing wires at the intersection of Barker and Thayer Streets in Ridley Park.  The top 1/3 of a PECO pole was found to be on fire with an electrical wire creating several large and very bright flashes in the area.  After several minutes, a live wire fell onto the front lawn of a residence and continued to burn which created a large power outage in the area.  The area was secured while we waited for PECO to respond.  A PECO representative arrived, secured the downed wire and restored power to most of the area.  No property was damaged in this incident.

A special "Thank You" to the Prospect Park Fire Company for assisting us during the storm.
